The book begins with the author’s explanation of what started her on her wellness journey, a discussion of the stressors of being a high achiever as a child, and, later, in law practice. The author then guides readers as they begin their own wellness journey. The first step is identifying personal values. The next step is working to find work-life harmony. This chapter includes a help ful exercise that asks readers to deter mine which part of their lives could be improved the most and which part brings them the greatest pleasure. Subsequent chapters cover topics such as healthy eating, creating effective rou tines, and intentional sleep. For people who struggle with insomnia or have dif ficulty falling asleep, the tips paired with exercises can be particularly helpful. Throughout the book, Clifford pro vides citations to sources so readers can do further research. Overall, the book is a wonderful way to start, restart, or con tinue your wellness journey.
