WELCOME TO CAMX 2024
On behalf of CAMX’s volunteers and staff, welcome to CAMX’s 10 th Anniversary Celebration! It is with great pleasure that we gather here to mark a decade of innovation, collaboration and excellence. Over the past 10 years, our event has grown and evolved, becoming a cornerstone of the composites and advanced materials industry, thanks to the unwavering support and participation of professionals like you. This year, we have curated an exceptional experience for you to mark this milestone. Put on your walking shoes and get set to explore the robust exhibit hall — a comprehensive marketplace with more than 500 exhibitors from across the globe. With a diverse array of exhibitors promoting the latest products, technologies and services, the exhibit hall serves as a hub for networking and discovering new opportunities . Take the time to explore the exhibits, engage with peers, partners and clients, and learn about the innovations shaping our industry’s future. CAMX Park Place , for example, offers designated zones for learning, networking and inspiration. It serves as an interactive Exhibit Hall experience, fostering the exchange of ideas and establishing new connections with like-minded professionals. The CAMX Awards and ACE Awards Pavilion are hubs for the latest technologies and breakthroughs in our industry. The conference program features thought-provoking education sessions, cutting-edge technical presentations and interactive tutorials led by the foremost experts in the field. Kickstart your learning by joining us for an inspiring CAMX keynote address by Maurice Conti , a globally recognized futurist, innovator and technology strategist. He is among the architects of the emerging technologies that are evolving humanity and the world around us: artificial intelligence, immersive reality (AR/VR/XR), advanced robotics and manufacturing and technology for sustainability. To enhance your experience and keep up with any last-minute scheduling updates, download the mobile app and access the MyCAMX Planner . This tool will help you navigate the Exhibit Hall, peruse sessions and exhibitors, and craft your personalized calendar while tagging exhibitors you wish to visit. As meetings conclude and hosted happy hours wind down, dive into the pulsating heartbeat of downtown San Diego: the Gaslamp District. Here, a plethora of dining options awaits, ranging from quick bites to fine dining, ensuring that every craving finds its perfect match. Alternatively, set out on a sudsy exploration and discover why San Diego has rightfully earned its title as the craft beer capital. With over 150 breweries, along with brew pubs and tasting rooms scattered throughout the county, there’s no shortage of flavorful experiences to indulge in. As we celebrate CAMX’s 10 th anniversary, we reflect on our journey and look forward to a future filled with continued success and collaboration. We are grateful for your presence and participation, which contribute to the vibrancy of the event. This week, while you are exploring the latest industry advances and expanding your professional network, we invite you to use the hashtag #CAMX2024 when sharing and posting your experiences. Together, let’s make this 10 th anniversary a memorable and impactful experience.
Once again, thank you for being part of our community, and I eagerly anticipate meeting you on the show floor.
Best, Fletcher Lindberg CAMX Chair
