[TO THE FINISH LINE] Bryan Track & Field primed to contend for District I think that the girls’ competitive spirit comes from within. We talk about that a lot during the off-season – self-motivation and being out here even though no one is forcing them to. If you love track and you love to run, then it has to come from deep down within yourself. There’s no giving up before the finish line, so they just have to dig deep and find that spark.

We’re definitely on the upswing heading into this season. I’ve been here for 18 years, and early on we had a pretty good program. I feel like there’s more intrigue this year. The kids are excited and we have a great staff here to coach them up. So, things are looking up for us and hopefully that shows later on.
