Bond Construction Update Spring 2023 BC NEWS UNDER CONSTRUCTION

NEW MIDDLE SCHOOL CAMPUS • Located on district property directly across the street from the current middle school campus • 900 student capacity • Equipped with upgraded safety and security features • Equipped with updated technology access and infrastructure • Space for all programs, courses, and support areas, including Media Center, Cafeteria, Fine Arts (Band Hall/Choir/Performance Platform, CTE Classes, Science Labs, Athletics (Gymnasiums/ Locker Rooms) • 160,000 square foot new Middle School • Bids will take place at the end of March ‘23 • Groundbreaking expected early Summer ‘23

CAREER & TECH FACILITY (CTE) • Located on campus behind BCHS • Alleviates crowded classrooms and provides for growth at BCHS • CTE programs will move from regular classrooms at BCHS to functional lab settings • Allows for continued growth in CTE programs • Provides lab settings, classroom space, and storage (as well as a commons area with locker rooms for the following programs: • Family Consumer Science • Certified Nursing Assistant • Flower Factory • Audio/Visual • 40,654 square foot addition to Bridge City High School • Bids to take place at the end of January ‘23 • Groundbreaking expected early Spring ‘23 • Metal Shop • Wood Shop • Engineering
