Directing the Lady Cards is coach Larry Sterling, who shows confidence in his team’s improvement from last year. While in a competitive district, Bridge City will be hoping to claim a ticket to the UIL 4A postseason. “Our expectation is to make the playoffs,” said Sterling. “Every year, we come into the season with that mindset. Hopefully, we’ll continue to get better both individually and as a unit as we continue to grow and mature.” Leading the Cardinals on the hardwood is forward Rylynn Thornton, who has made her presence knows on the inside, while sophomore guard Whitney Cunningham provided a ton of energy for Bridge City.
