The Cards were in a bit of a rebuilding phase a year ago, but with a reinvigorated mentality and another year of experience under their belts, Bridge City fans should anticipate a resurgence as their team takes to the gridiron in 2023 under the direction of new coach Chad Landry. The Cards started the season with two wins and were led by dual-threat junior QB Hutch Bearden, who had eight scores in the first three games. Abraham Munguia, Jerris Brown and Gavin Bodin are the top targets downfield, while Merik Aras shares the running duties. Meanwhile, count on Blaze King, Ayden Richardson, Austin Bellanger, Jagger Carlin and Nick Lejeune to continue leading the defense.
