Because I am a girl, society says I must be thin, gorgeous, and not be ok when I am single because I need a man.
Because I am a girl, I’m classified as a slut or prude, there’s no inbetween.
Because I am a girl, cat-calling and slut-shaming for me, is just another day.
Because I am a girl, boys can harass and exploit me because “boys will be boys.”
Because I am a girl, I have to watch for spiked drinks from all too eager boys at parties.
Because I am a girl, the reason I got raped was because I showed too much skin.
But It’s only Because I am a girl, that I’m not treated as equal and with the same respect.
It’s Because I am a girl, that I must cook, clean, and stay home with the children all day.
Nowadays Because I am a girl, men think that they can force me to do as they wish.
But it’s Because I am a girl, that I will stand up and say that this is definitely not ok.
It’s Because I am a girl, that I am fixing this, so my child can stand and say, “That

equal pay is a real thing,
