Over 20,000 attorneys are licensed to practice in the state of Kentucky. It is vitally important that you keep the Kentucky Bar Association (KBA) informed of your correct mailing address. Pursuant to SCR 3.035, all KBA members must maintain a current address at which he or she may be communicated, as well as a physical address if your mailing address is a Post Office address. If you move, you must notify the Executive Director of the KBA within 10 days. All roster changes must be in writing and must include your 5-digit KBA member identification number. Director a unique, valid email address and shall upon change of that address notify the Director within 10 days of the new address. Members who are classified as a “Senior Retired Inactive” or “Disabled Inactive” member are not required to maintain a valid email address on file and those “Honorary” members who no longer actively practice law or maintain an office. There are several ways to update your address and/or email for your convenience. Online: Visit www.kybar.org to make changes online by logging into the website and editing your profile. • Approved the appointment of Britta ny Riley of London to the Attorneys’ Advertising Commission for a three year term ending on June 30, 2028. • President McMurtry and Immediate Past President Blackburn will serve in their respective capacities on the Kentucky Bar Foundation Board of Directors. • President McMurtry will serve on the IOLTA Board of Trustees in his capacity as KBA President. • Approved the appointments of Bar Governors Sheila Hiestand of Louis ville and LaToi Mayo of Lexington to the KYLAP Commission for respec tive three-year terms ending on June 30, 2028. • Approved the appointment of Thom as Kerrick of Bowling Green, J. Ste phen Smith of Ft. Mitchell and W. Fletcher Schrock of Paducah to serve on the Special Conflicts Committee for a one-year term ending on June 30, 2026. • Executive Director John D. Meyers reported that the next location of the CLE Abroad is scheduled to be Morocco in May 2026. • Approved two (2) Disabled Inactive Status requests pursuant to SCR 3.030(6)(a). • Approved the appointment of Keith Elston as chair of the LGBT Law Sec tion for the 2025-2026 Fiscal Year. • Approved the appointment of Rene Rogers as secretary of the Real Prop erty Law Section for the 2025-2026 Fiscal Year. • Approved the amendment to the Education Law Section Bylaws to change the position name from vice chair to chair-elect and the chair elect position would also serve as secretary-treasurer.

• Approved the amendment to the In tellectual Property Law Section By laws to allow the chair to appoint two at-large board members. • Mr. Meyers reported that Decisis is offering the LexisNexis AI tool to the KBA membership at a 15% discount and this information has been posted on the new KBA website. • Mr. Meyers reported that IOLTA Ex ecutive Director Susan Duncan has hired a new staff person, Eric Cox, to assist her and Gwen Smallenburg. The Office of Bar Counsel hired Heather Cardwell as a new legal as sistant. • The Supreme Court appointed R. Stephen McGinnis of Greenup to serve as CLE Commission Chair. Re appointed 2 nd District member Col ten W. Givens of Bowling Green and 3 rd District member Kelly K. Rid ings of London for a second three year term ending on June 30, 2028, and also appointed Megan Keane of Louisville for the 4 th District to a three-year term ending on June 30, 2028. They also made the following appointments to the IOLTA Board of Trustees; in the 1 st District Ben E. Stewart of Paducah, 2 nd District Kati na B. Miner of Bowling Green and 6 th District James A. Dietz of Florence for respective three-year terms end ing on June 30, 2028. • The Board Policy Acknowledgement for FY 2025-2026 was distributed and signed by those Board members present.
