KENTUCKY BAR FOUNDATION
When Jennifer fled an abusive relationship with her two children, she had nowhere to go and no idea how to navigate the court system. She was frightened, overwhelmed, and unsure how she would protect her family or start over. Everything felt uncertain, and she did not know where to turn for help. Through a nonprofit organization funded by the Kentucky Bar Foundation, Jennifer received free legal representation that helped her secure a protective order, stable housing, and custody of her children. Her attorney stood beside her in court, explained her rights, and helped her take the steps needed to rebuild her life with confidence and dignity. As Jennifer shared, “Without legal help, I don’t know where we’d be.” Today, Jennifer and her children are safe and thriving. Her story is one of thousands made possible because supporters believe that access to justice should not depend on income, background, or circumstance. What Justice Looks Like
“Without legal help, I don’t know where we’d be.”
Why Your Support Matters Access to justice is not automatic. It’s built. When you support the Kentucky Bar Foundation, you help ensure that every Kentuckian has a fair chance, regardless of income or circumstance.
