Over 20,000 attorneys are licensed to practice in the state of Kentucky. It is vitally important that you keep the Kentucky Bar Association (KBA) informed of your correct mailing address. Pursuant to SCR 3.035, all KBA members must maintain a current address at which he or she may be communicated, as well as a physical address if your mailing address is a Post Office address. If you move, you must notify the Executive Director of the KBA within 10 days. All roster changes must be in writing and must include your 5-digit KBA member identification number. Director a unique, valid email address and shall upon change of that address notify the Director within 10 days of the new address. Members who are classified as a “Senior Retired Inactive” or “Disabled Inactive” member are not required to maintain a valid email address on file and those “Honorary” members who no longer actively practice law or maintain an office. The Office of Bar Counsel is going through a con version on their new software, hav ing used JustWare for many years. The conversion should be completed by the end of December 2025. • The Supreme Court approved the ad justable claims limit for the Clients’ Security Fund based upon the CSF balance. The Claim Limit grid per re spondent attorney is approved as fol lows: If the CSF balance is below $1 million, Per Claim Limit is $50,000, with Aggregate Limit of $150,000. Above $1 million, Per Claim Limit is $75,000 with Aggregate Limit of $250,000. The Court also approved the employment of Kelley Galloway Smith Goolsby, PSC of Ashland, Kentucky, to audit the accounts of the Kentucky Bar Association and to prepare tax returns for Fiscal Years ending June 30, 2025, and June 30, 2026.
