Anne McRoberts 19826 300th Road, Malta Bend, MO 65339 Anne McRoberts chose the Field Corn quilt pattern to honor her family’s farming legacy. Kosy Grove has been in the family since 1854. Early experiments in crop rotation ultimately led to the development of hybrid corn. The quilt square adorns the barn where it all began.

Logan and Jada Sherry 39750 270th Road, Gilliam, MO 65330 The quilt was a gift from Doyal and Trela Parks (Jada’s grandparents). They were inspired to make it after camping in Arrow Rock and seeing all the beautiful barn quilts along their route. The quilt pattern is Early Riser with a horse and horseshoe embossed in the center for Jada’s love of horses.

Every year, the Katy Trail brings thousands of hikers and bikers to Rocheport and other communities along the route. Photos courtesy of Colin LaVaute, Rocheport Area Merchants Association, and Holly Kite.
