NABIP Utah builds momentum through innovation A reimagined annual conference, real-time policy talks and a thriving future leaders program are energizing the chapter from the inside out.
When Nicole Kuhni stepped into the role of NABIP Utah president, she joined a chapter ready for renewal. Two years later, the group has emerged with revitalized purpose, fresh programming and a stronger sense of community, thanks to a focused effort to engage the next generation and elevate its presence statewide.
From the beginning, her goal was to bridge the generational and engagement gaps within Utah’s broker community. “There was a disconnect between our more experienced members and the newer ones coming in, and a disconnect between the chapter and the broader community,” Kuhni says. “We needed to build a place where
everyone felt like they belonged.” One standout initiative is the Future Leaders Network (FLN), a program designed for brokers and industry professionals under 35 or with fewer than 10 years of experience. “We wanted to create a space where younger professionals could learn, connect and see a future in the industry,” Kuhni says.
