In keeping ahead of potential issues in society and with fire safety, Glenn praises John Jay College for evolving to address current issues. Its location gives him opportunities to speak out, because the campus is surrounded by major media outlets. “We have a good relationship,” he says. “I’m trying to get (the media) to do something on lithium batteries— our government isn’t doing anything of substance. What do we do to solve these problems?” When he is not out front heading off trouble, he can be found back home in Waldwick with his mom, Edna, adopted cats Zeva and Oliver and wife Sharon. Sharon works for Express Scripts and has volunteered with the Waldwick Volunteer Ambulance Corps. When they travel, they visit natural wonders or history-related places, such as Gettysburg or to the home of former President Martin Van Buren. Because of his great-grandfather’s ties to Paterson’s historic silk industry, he became a history buff of Paterson. “Going to different historic places was a part of my life with my parents. My father was involved with history. His interest was in the cavalry, Custer, Little Big Horn, historical New England and Virginia sites,” Glenn says. Glenn got involved with local history at the Hermitage in HoHoKus. He is the vice president of the Waldwick Historical Society and was the president of the Paramus Historical Preservation Society, which is now

The museum is located in the former Erecting Shop of the Rogers Locomotive Works at the corner of Spruce and Market Streets in the heart of the Paterson Great Falls National Historical Park.

THE MISSION OF THE MUSEUM The Paterson Museum acquires and preserves the cultural, technological and geological history of the city. The museum interprets and exhibits Paterson’s unique scientific, historic and cultural legacy. It aims to educate and inspire all generations about Paterson’s contributions to our nation’s history. FEATURED EXHIBITS The museum’s permanent exhibits include “The Wright Years,” (about the Wright Aeronautical Corporation), a silk exhibit, “Paquapick” or the Place of Noisy Waters, and an exhibit about the machine and locomotive industries. Other exhibits are Holland Submarines, a mineral collection, patent medicines and nursing, the Lou Costello Playhouse, the Colt Paterson Collection and the firefighting collection.
