The 501c3 nonprofit program reaches 16 schools

in Bergen County; plus 33 more statewide.

“Hero” athletes connect with teens who in turn

are role models for “Cool Kids” in fifth- and

sixth-grade.

Programs include Student Leadership,

Sidekick for 4th to 8th grade, S.H.E.-Self Honor

Everyday for young girls, Young Men’s, school

assemblies and coaches workshops.

Volunteer positions and sponsorships

are available.

Bruce and Jahvia Griffin, former Dwight Englewood student, who remembers Bruce Harper and his wife introducing him to the Heroes & Cool Kids program, says he will never forget the experience.
