Members on select plans will have a predictable copay for outpatient labs exams, regardless of whether they have met their deductible. Plans feature copays ranging from $0-$3 for preferred generics and access to Cigna’s Patient Assurance Program, which caps insulin costs at $25 per month for a 30-day supply. In most markets, members can re ceive 30-day and 90-day retail prescriptions through the Walgreens Advantage Network, a network of 43,000 independent pharma cies anchored by Walgreens. Customers 18 and older can earn up to $325 in points that can be redeemed for a debit card or merchandise through the Take Control Rewards program. Cigna’s 2023 plans will also include digital tools, including the myCigna mobile app and Cigna One Guide, which provide proac tive and personalized support on questions regarding plans, ways to save money, and identifying high-quality care providers. EHEALTH IS NOW OFFERING ICHRA PRODUCTS AND SERVICES FOR EMPLOYER GROUPS eHealth Inc. an online private health insur ance marketplace, is now offering ICHRA health insurance products and services in addition to offering traditional group health insurance plans. With Individual Coverage HRAs, corporations and business owners make premium contributions toward health plans selected by employees. Employees get to choose the coverage that best matches their health needs from a large selection of available plans. Employers determine their own contribution towards subsidizing employees’ costs.
“In regions where we offer both ICHRA and traditional group health insurance products, we’ll now be able to help em ployers understand which may work best for their needs,” said eHealth CEO Fran Soistman. “For employers who want to provide health insurance for employees but can’t afford a traditional group plan, the ICHRA program presents a good solution. While ICHRA can accommodate groups of any size, it may prove especially attractive to smaller businesses.” As an employee benefit offering, ICHRA may help businesses attract and retain work ers. It allows employers to define their own contributions, often minimizing risks and controlling costs more effectively than with group health insurance coverage. Employees can select the ACA-compliant health plan that suits them and use dis bursements from their employers to reduce their premiums. Aetna is entering the individual insurance exchange marketplace in New Jersey (in select counties) with its Aetna CVS Health co-branded insurance product, providing access to healthcare for more New Jerseyans. With the launch of these plans, members will have access to Aetna’s network of pri mary care doctors, mental health providers, specialists and hospitals, plus, convenient care options through telehealth, participat ing walk-in clinics such as MinuteClinic and HealthHUB locations. CIGNA EXTENDS ACA MARKETPLACE PLANS INTO THREE STATES Cigna will provide more customers and communities access to healthcare coverage in 2023 by expanding the reach of its ACA Marketplace exchange plans. During the upcoming Open Enrollment Period, Cigna health plans will be available on the indi vidual exchange in three new states—Texas, Indiana and South Carolina—as well as in additional counties in Georgia, Mississippi and North Carolina. With this expansion, pending final regulatory approvals, Cigna will offer individual and family plans on the individ ual exchanges in 363 counties spanning 16 states: Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Illinois, Kansas, Mississippi, Mis souri, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Vir ginia. These new markets have the potential to reach approximately 730,000 additional customers in 2023. New for 2023, members will have access to MDLIVE’s primary care physician net work for routine visits via video at any time.
