Shetty earned his undergraduate degree from Harvard College and his medical degree from Harvard Medical School, and he continues to be board certified in Diagnostic Radiology. He has an MBA from Wharton and prior experience at Bain Consulting. Humana has also announced that George Renaudin, senior vice president and president of Medicare, has been pro moted to president of Medicare and Medicaid, effective immediately. Renaudin, who has 27 years of healthcare industry experience—including strategy, market operations and product experience—has been instrumental in leading Humana’s strong Medicare Advantage growth over the last two decades. Renaudin’s expanded role will also include Hu mana’s fast-growing Medicaid business which serves more than 1 million members nationally across Florida, Kentucky, Wisconsin, Illinois and South Carolina, and has added Ohio and Louisiana in 2023. Renaudin earned a bachelor’s degree from Tulane University and a master’s degree in Public Policy from Pennsylvania State University. He is also a graduate of Loyola University Law School.

Purvis most recently served as Florida market president and corporate vice president of Medicare Operations for Evolent Health. She oversaw three provider service network health plans in the state, which covered 75,000 Medic aid enrollees as well as Evolent Health’s Florida Medicare Advantage business. She previously held executive roles at WellCare in Georgia, a health plan which covered more than 500,000 Medicaid enrollees. Her time at WellCare included two years as the company’s Georgia state chief operating officer and six years as market chief operations officer for eastern and southern Georgia. A graduate of the University of Phoenix and Dale Carnegie Institute, Purvis holds certifications from the John Maxwell Team as a speaker, coach and trainer. Humana has recently announced two senior leadership ap pointments. First, the company has hired healthcare industry veteran Sanjay Shetty, M.D., MBA, to lead its healthcare services business, CenterWell. Shetty comes to Humana from Steward Health Care System, where he currently serves as president. In his new role, he will report to Humana President
