individual plans. Hodson assumed responsi bilities on January 2. She succeeds Bill Ashley, who will serve in a newly designed role as executive vice president focusing on business development. Ashley, who is the son of the founders, has run the 52-year-old company with his brothers David and Gary since 1990. “Lisa was hired five years ago with the intent to be my re placement in the role of CEO,” Ashley said. “I am very thankful to see this come to fruition. I’m excited for Lisa and for the future of Allied under her leadership.” Joining Allied in 2017, Hodson was promoted to chief strat egy and development officer in 2020; and to executive vice president overseeing marketing and sales in 2022. During her time at Allied, she has coordinated the development and sales of new products, in addition to providing oversight of the company’s current products and supporting carrier and reinsurer relationships. Hodson previously worked as chief strategy officer for GEHA, the second-largest national health plan serving fed eral employees, federal retirees and their families. She was responsible for enterprise strategy, medical and dental prod uct management, new business development, and client relationship management. Prior to this position, she served as vice president of global project services and as director of the project management office at GEHA. Hodson holds a master’s degree in public administration from George Washington University and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in business economics and a Bachelor of Science in international business from St. Cloud University. She’s a member of the Board of Directors of Hillcrest Transitional Housing, a faith-based non-profit transi tional housing program.

PacificSource is pleased to announce Dr. John “Espi” Espinola as the organization’s new president and CEO, effective April 3. In this role, Espinola will provide leadership, strategic guidance and direction for PacificSource’s overall operations and will hold primary responsibility for profit and loss and fulfilling the organization’s commitment

to its mission, vision and values. Espinola comes to PacificSource with more than 20 years of leadership experience in healthcare. He most recently served in a dual role as executive vice president, chief strate gy and product officer with Premera Blue Cross and as CEO of Kinwell Physician Network, a wholly owned subsidiary of Premera. Prior to his 12 years spent with Premera, he served as the national medical director for Essence Healthcare and before that as executive director and medical director of Evercare, a division of UnitedHealth Group. Espinola received his bachelor’s degree from the College of the Holy Cross (Worcester, MA), his medical degree and mas ter of public health from Tufts University School of Medicine (Boston, MA), and his master of business administration from the University of Washington (Seattle). Espinola will replace Ken Provencher, who has served as PacificSource’s president and CEO for 21 years. Provencher announced his retirement in late 2022 after a total of 28 years dedicated to PacificSource. Kristen Gunter has joined Alliant Insurance Services as senior vice president within its Employee Benefits Group. Based in Los Angeles, Gunter will focus on designing, implementing and managing a full range of strategic employee benefits solutions for a diverse and growing base of clients. Gunter has more than 20 years of experience in employee benefits. Prior to joining Alliant, Gunter was senior vice president at a global insurance brokerage and employee benefits consult ing firm. Alex Gloeckner has joined Alliant Insurance Services as senior vice president within its Employee Benefits Group. Based in Salt Lake City, Gloeckner has more than 20 years of benefits experience and will expand Alliant’s presence in Utah and across the Rocky Mountain region. Prior to joining Alliant, Gloeckner was vice president at a Utah-based insurance bro kerage and employee benefits consulting firm, serving clients Alliant Insurance Services has announced some personnel moves:

Bradley & Parker has announced a significant staff change in its Employee Benefits Division. Keith Zuckerman has joined B&P as a senior vice president, employee benefits. Zuckerman has been a top-producing

employee benefits professional for 25 years. Previously he grew an employee benefits agency from $50 million a year in sales to almost $3 billion in sales. Zuckerman is known as a technical expert in the employee benefits field and sits on many carriers’ advisory boards. He is a Lifetime Soaring Eagle Qualifier of NABIP and a frequent speaker on ACA and ERISA compliance topics.
