Control “at the lowest price among G7 countries”—Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the U.K. and the U.S. This “reasonable price” provision would hammer innova tion as private companies are forced to sell their products at a price determined by countries thousands of miles away with different economic and political forces—countries that are crushing their medical-innovation industries. Americans need to wake up to the encroaching and very real threats to a country where waiting times are in days not weeks, months or years, and where survival rates when we do get sick are among the highest in the world. https://jayapal.house.gov/2023/05/17/jayapal-dingell-sanders-in troduce-medicare-for-all-with-record-number-of-house-cospon sors/ 3 https://jayapal.house.gov/medicare-for-all-act-of-2023-endors ing-organizations/ 4 www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2023/07/11/sanders_medicare for-all_would_destroy_americas_health_care_149470.html 5 www.fraserinstitute.org/sites/default/files/waiting-your turn-2022.pdf 6 www.bmj.com/content/374/bmj.n2352 7 www.thelancet.com/journals/lanonc/article/PIIS1470 2045(20)30388-0/fulltext 8 www.theguardian.com/society/2021/nov/26/late-diagnosis-of breast-cancer-rises-as-nhs-struggles-in-covid-crisis 9 www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S092375341931292X 1 0 www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/ S1470204507702462 1 1 www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/cancer-rates-by-country 1 2 www.politico.eu/article/cancer-europe-america-comparison/ 1 https://jayapal.house.gov/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/JAYA PA_019_xml-Medicare-for-All-118th-Final32023.pdf 2
