With nearly 100 outdoor installations, Holland has a lot of art to discover.

Within just a few downtown blocks, Holland offers some amazing artistic venues. The Jack H. Miller Center for the Musical Arts has an 800-seat concert hall and over 125 events each year. The Park Theatre will keep you laughing and singing along with their comedy circuit and Legends music series. The Holland Community Theatre showcases the talents of local actors, and you never know what you’ll find at the Holland Civic Center Place, possibly a Merchants and Makers market or your favorite country music star.

The murals alone are worth a daytrip. Giant flowers flourish outside the 205 Coffee Bar, a bicycle sprocket rides the wall of Velo City Cycles, and a two-story tribute to the local Latino community graces the side of the Holland Armory. There’s also a scavenger hunt of sculptures. See if you can find a group of bronze musicians playing beneath the shade of a Norway maple, the sandstone Zhdondige-kwe , and the mushing dogsledder crafted from recycled scrap metal. More than half the outdoor art is within walking distance of 8th Street, the rest peppered throughout the Holland area. For a handy interactive map of public art, visit holland.org.
