You’ll find a swimming beach, kids play area, hiking trails with an accessible loop, horseshoe pit, and a dedicated off-leash dog beach. 9791 Lakeshore Dr N, West Olive $ • X • Î Laketown Beach A bit off the beaten path, tiny Laketown Beach offers spectacular views of the “Big Lake” from a wooden stairway that climbs up and over dunes to arrive at the waterfront. 6710 142nd Ave, Holland Olive Shores This mostly wooded park is known for its sandy swimming beach and the trails, boardwalks, and stairs traversed to get there. Saugatuck Dunes State Park With 2 ½ miles of shoreline, this 1,000-acre park is home to freshwater coastal dunes over 200 feet tall. Beachcombers can make the 2/3’s mile trek to Lake Michigan from the picnic and parking area. 6575 138th Ave, Holland $ • X • Î Tunnel Park Climb a dune staircase to panoramic views of Lake Michigan, or take a shortcut through the namesake tunnel to a rolling sandy beach. A great place for a picnic, Tunnel Park is the spot to unwind as the kids race up and tumble down a soaring sand dune.

Currents can be strong in Lake Michigan

Digging into sand cliffs can cause collapse and is dangerous

Do not walk on pier when safety gates are closed

A double red flag means it is illegal to enter the water
