The rhythm of the drum line can be heard from Elsik to Taylor, marking the beginning of the 2023-24 Alief ISD athletics calendar. The crack of pads and booming voices of coaches can be heard on the practice fields throughout Alief, while the squeaking of shoes and thumping of volleyballs fill the gyms of Elsik, Hastings and Taylor. The light footsteps of cross country runners and the whopping of tennis balls off of racquets stamp a new season, while cheer and dance routines are practiced for countless hours preparing for halftime performances. Hear the band? Here comes the Fall.
