THE COUGARS EXPERIENCED GROWING PAINS LAST WINTER, WHICH CULMINATED IN A SIXTH-PLACE FINISH IN DISTRICT 14-6A. However, this is a new year, which means anything can happen. It’s going to take plenty of work and consistency, but if Nimitz can get their chemistry re established, they have the potential to become a perennial playoff team once again. Coach David Rosas will turn to the likes of Cruz Alvarez (Sr. D), Carlos Sifuentes (Sr. ST), Cesar Estrada (Sr. GK), and Arturo Hernandez (Sr. MF) to be among the players to see that goal come to fruition.
