Venzant, Nimitz Eyeing Back-to-Back District Titles FOOD CHAIN TOP OF THE

NIMITZ IS COMING OFF ONE OF THE MOST EXEMPLARY SEASONS AUDIENCES HAVE SEEN IN RECENT MEMORY, AS THE COOGS WENT 25-7 OVERALL AND CLAIMED THEIR FIRST DISTRICT TITLE IN OVER A DECADE, BEFORE REACHING THE AREA ROUND OF THE 2024 PLAYOFFS . Nothing stands to change, considering that 14-6A Coach of the Year Kendra Venzant has a plethora of talented individuals back on the court – the most notable being Aniah Richard Holmes. The senior point guard averaged 14 points, 3.5 assists, and 3 steals per game a year ago, which earned her a first-team, all-district nod. Fellow seniors Chloe Williams and Kira Hubbard bulk up the experience needed to compete in this district, while Tatiyana Cole returns after an impressive freshman debut that saw her receive an all-district honorable mention. The Cougars are going to be a threatening group to emerge from H-Town.
