Venzant, Cole Look to Propel Nimitz GBB to Even Greater Heights BUSINeSS AS USUAL feature NIMITZ GIRLS BASKETBALL

AFTER BACK-TO-BACK 25+ WIN SEASONS— SOMETHING NOT SEEN AT NIMITZ SINCE THE BRITNEY GRINER ERA—EXPECTATIONS REMAIN HIGH FOR HEAD COACH KENDRA VENZANT’S SQUAD. Venzant, recently named District 14-6A Coach of the Year for a second straight time, guided the Cougars to a 26-9 finish last season, including a 13-1 district record and a third-round playoff run that ended against eventual 6A-D1 State Finalists Cedar Hill. Although the team moves forward without graduated District MVP Aniah Richard-Holmes, several key pieces return. Junior center Tatiyana Cole (first-team, all-district) anchors the lineup, while sophomore forward Alayia Hutchinson is primed for an expanded role after gaining valuable varsity experience. Junior point guard Kamille Davis also returns to provide backcourt stability to a roster that is eager to pave a deeper path through the upcoming postseason.
