ToOrder: Specify stair name/number, roof access up or no roof access, floor level, exit level and lower and upper terminus (of the stairwell enclosure) andmountingmethod (FoamTape, 3MAdhesive Back, or 4 Pre-drilled MountingHoles).

IFC1022.8 states: Asign shall beprovidedat eachfloor landing inexit enclosures connectingmore than three stories designating thefloor level, the terminus of the topand bottomof theexit enclosure and the identificationof the stair or ramp. The signage shall also state the storyof, and thedirection to, theexit dischargeand the availabilityof roof access fromthe enclosure for thefiredepartment. The sign shall be located5 feet above thefloor landing inaposition that is readily visiblewhen thedoors are in theopenand closedposition. Floor level identification signs in tactile characters complyingwith ICC A117.1 shall be locatedat eachfloor level landingadjacent to thedoor leading fromthe enclosure into the corridor to identify thefloor level.
