Adirondack Peeks Winter 2023

ADK Check Donation T he Adirondack 46ers are pleased to support the work of the Adirondack Mountain Club in 2023. We have provided funding for nine weeks of trail work by the Pro Crew at Slant Rock and Avalanche Pass along with a week of blowdown sweeps by the Crew to begin the spring season. The total grant of $65,000 for the Pro Crew work along with the work of our all-Volunteer Trail Crew will do much to improve the trails in the High Peaks.

This brings the 46er donations to the ADK Pro Crew to over $500,000 to date. We have also provided another $25,000 to the ADK Summit Steward program. In combination with our Trailhead Steward programs, we are able to protect our natural resources through education and personal one on-one conversations to help keep hikers safe while they recreate in the Adirondacks.

This generous donation for 2023 totaling $90,000 is one of the many ways that the Adirondack 46ers continues to sup port other organizations in and around the Adirondacks who share our goals of wilderness protection through educa tion, trail maintenance, and conservation.
