Adirondack Peeks Summer 2025

TRAIL CREW Mark Simpson, #6038V

So don’t be shy—venture out of your comfort zone and join us on one of the many outings we have scheduled for 2025! We don’t ask anyone to do anything more than they are capable of. Everyone contributes. Check out the schedule and sign up here: adk46er.org/ trail-crew/ If your schedule is flexible, we need volunteers July 25– 27 and September 12–14! We even have two 3-day events this year complete with a shared meal on Saturday night provided by the 46ers. You’ll undoubtedly feel a sense of pride the next time you hike, knowing that you and your fellow 46ers play such an important role in improving the trails in the Adirondacks that we love so much. Here’s hoping to see you on our trail crew this year!

I t’s hard to believe that the first 46er completed their 46 peaks 100 years ago. It’s also hard to believe that a small group of hikers increased the Adirondack 46er organization to a size of more than 16,000 individuals. The 46er Trail Crew also evolved from a small group of dedicated people into a larger group that has significantly contributed to the hiking experiences in the mountains we love. If you’re curious about the trail work we do, consider joining us this year to learn new skills, meet new friends, and tackle new challenges. We assure you nothing you face during trail work will be any more challenging than what you’ve already faced during your quest to become a 46er!

Good Climbing!

It’s 24’ length spans Platt Brook, in the Hoffman Wilderness, approximately two miles west of Route 9 in Schroon Lake. It was the final touch to a new trail segment being placed for the new North Country Trail (see northcountrytrail.org for more information).a
