FUNNY WOMAN Follow Barbara Parker, a small-town beauty queen who decides to swap her pageant life for comedy television in 1960s London. After landing a TV show audition, Barbara finds that being a woman in a largely male environment has its own challenges. As she “finds her funny” voice, Barbara redefines the prevailing attitude toward funny women while on a mission to reinvent herself.

Funny Woman premieres January 7 at 9 p.m.

THE COST OF INHERITANCE: AN AMERICAN REFRAMED SPECIAL

This one-hour film traces the nation’s legacy of systemic inequities to modern-day America, introducing viewers to descendants of enslaved persons and slave owners, profiling their complex intertwined histories, and detailing how their quest to bridge divides galvanized them to seek reparations together.

The Cost of Inheritance: An American ReFramed Special airs January 8 at 10 p.m.

While the distances may not seem monumental to us, to these little creatures, the journey is monumental. Meet six heroic, tiny travelers risking it all to complete big journeys against the odds.
