As an educated, successful business owner, you should take these steps to keep your salon operational, minimize your downtime, and keep your profits up! Call our team of Parts Specialists if you need more information. Please have the make, model, and year of your tanning unit ready when you call. Stock Spare Parts Always keep staple items that you know will have to be replaced on hand. This will help eliminate your downtime and save expense on overnight shipping charges. We have provided a suggested replacement part stock list; however, your actual replacement part needs may vary.

Equipment Maintenance Basic salon maintenance can reduce the expense of unnecessary replacement parts, equipment failure, and frustration. The maintenance needs of your salon will vary by equipment type, voltage conditions, and environment. We’ve listed the “basics” below. • Clean acrylics after every session with approved disinfectant. • Clean head rests. • Closely examine filter glass (if used). • Clean exterior of unit with approved cleaning solution. • Check acrylics for cracks. Weekly • Remove bench and canopy acrylics; clean and polish the front and back. • Clean dust and debris from all fans. • Wipe dust from lamps and reflector panels with a dry, soft cloth to prevent buildup. • Inspect lamp holders for loose connections, burns, and corrosion. • Check for loose bolts and electrical connections. • Thoroughly vacuum each room, being careful not to disturb timer network. Monthly • Inspect acrylics for cracks, scratches, and yellowing. • Check UV transmission of acrylics with UV meter; replace if necessary. • Thoroughly clean inside acrylic track or opening. • Replace filters (where applicable). • Carefully vacuum around lamp holders, starters, and internal components. • Check equipment lamp hours; re-lamp if necessary; include facials, shoulder tanners, effect lamps, etc. • Check tension of cylinders, adjust brakes; replace when needed. Daily
Yearly • Check voltage to ensure that incoming power still meets
equipment manufacturer’s specifications; make adjustments as necessary. • Check all cords for frayed ends, split covering; replace as needed. • Inspect all endcaps for wear, tear, cracks, and structural defects; replace if necessary. • Inspect equipment for loose and/or missing bolts, screws, fasteners,
and other points of attachment; replace parts as needed. • Schedule routine maintenance with Service Technician.
