Small nicks, scratches and normal wear over time will cause your acrylic to block UV rays. The average lifespan of an acrylic shield is 1500 to 3000 hours. Proper care and cleaning of your acrylics will help to protect your investment. When it’s time to replace your shields, make sure to provide the following information: year, make, model, number of lamps, exact measurements (if year and model are not available), location of acrylic and any special features (holes, tape masking color, etc.).
