Condensing Units | HVAC

We Can Help You Meet New Energy Efficiency Standards We’re here to provide product and support to help you comply with the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) higher efficiency standards for air conditioners, heat pumps, and packaged units. The DOE’s amendment to the Energy Policy and Conservation Act of 1975 includes, but is not limited to, the following: Heat pumps and packaged units manufactured on or after January 1, 2015, are required to be 14 SEER - All Regions • Split air conditioners manufactured on or after January 1, 2015: • North Region - 13 SEER • Southeast Region - 14 SEER • Southwest Region - 14 SEER/12.2/11.7 EER (Depending on BTU) • It's illegal to install 13 SEER condensing units in the Southwest or Southeast regions after June 30, 2016.

Federal minimum energy efficiency standards across the U.S. are as follows:

14 SEER / 8.2 HSPF

Packaged Units

14 SEER / 11.0 EER / 8.0 HSPF

Gas-Pack 14 SEER / 81% AFUE SEER = seasonal energy efficiency rating; EER = energy efficiency rating; HSPF = heating seasonal performance factor; A E = annual fuel utilization efficienc

Please Be Advised Before Purchasing • Requirements for air conditioners and heat pumps, including packaged units, have been in effect since January 1, 2015.
