Cool Roof Coatings- Sta Kool & Eternakote Applying Sta Kool Acrylic Elastomeric and Eternakote Silicone cool roof coatings can extend the life of a roof while lowering indoor temperatures. This can help reduce cooling costs by up to 35%. 1. Start the job with good surface prep. Check for areas that need to be repaired and ensure that the roof has proper drainage. 2. Remove all rust, dirt, gravel, leaves and other debris. Pressure wash or clean with a detergent or TSP solution and rinse. 3. Repair any damaged areas with #130125 Sta Kool 390 Elastomeric Roof Patch and reinforce using #130101 Universal Patching fabric. 4. Sta Kool 780 10 year Elastomeric Roof Coating #130124 is recommended to apply two coats. It is easily rolled on with a 3/4" nap roller. This product is recommended for roofs that drain well and don’t pond wanter. 5. Eternakote 100% Silicone Roof Coating #224387 is a one coat application and is easily rolled on with a 3/4" nap roller. Eternakote is the best coating for flat roofs that pond water, but works great on all roofing substrates.
