LOCKSET FUNCTION

ENTRY— A keyed lockset used on any door that leads to the outside of a home, i.e., front door, back door, door between residence and garage, door fromgarage to outside. Keyed exterior. Turn button interior will lock or unlock both knobs and levers. DEADBOLT— A single cylinder dead- bolt key retracts both from exterior; turn- piece operates bolt from interior. A double cylinder deadbolt key retracts bolt fromboth exterior and interior. Rec- ommended for glass paneled doors.

PASSAGE— A non-locking knob used where no lock is necessary, i.e., a hallway or closet. Plain knob or lever on both sides.

Lockset Function device

PRIVACY— A lockset that can be locked on one side by a turnpiece button or pushbutton, often used in a bedroomor bathroom. Emergency entry key will open exterior knob or lever.
