Dropmore Scarlet Honeysuckle Vine is a tall growing twining vine that climbs 10-20'. Bright orange-scarlet flowers are borne from June until frost are tubular and precede the red fruits. An excellent, small flowered variety that is very vigorous. Clusters of small very fragile white flowers. Blooms September until frost. An excellent vine for split rail fences, lamp posts, and great as a groundcover. Another interesting use is to plant among larger junipers and let it climb up and through these plants. Cool moist soils, and full sun, so the juniper application is great as the ground is shaded and the tops get full sun. Trim back dead tops early in spring before new growth begins. Because this clematis is so vigorous, established plants cut back in spring can grow 15' or more in one season. spreading Zones 4-9 AUG-SEP
