IRONWOOD OSTRYA

H. paniculata 'Jane' LITTLE LIME HYDRANGEA tree form

G. dioica 'McKBranched' DECAF KENTUCKY COFFEETREE

O. virginiana IRONWOOD American Hophornbeam)

A native, smaller tree often found as an understory plant. An excellent tree for lawns, street trees, or parks. Use them in naturalized areas. Very slow growing, but once established will make excellent growth. Full sun or part shade and cool moist soil, yet very adaptable to drier soils. The fruit is a nutlet that resembles a hop like fruit. 25'x25' Zones 4-9 KATSURATREE CERCIDIPHYLLUM C. japonicum KATSURATREE Upright, spreading form becoming rounded with age. Shaggy bark on mature trees. Heart shaped leaves emerge beautiful reddish-purple and change to bluish-green. Burnt orange to golden yellow fall color. Disease resistant. Nice! 40-55'x20-30' Zones 5-8

A tree form and similar to the style and look of 'Limelight' Hydrangea. It has fresh, lime green flowers that create a summertime bloom extravaganza. These flowers will change to white and then age to a nice pink into fall. These fall blooms work well in dried flower arrangements (blooms July-September). This fine tree is grown on a standard to raise the flowers eye-level. Just like the shrub the tree form works excellently in the more sunny parts of your garden. Most woody Hydrangea bloom on new wood so be sure to prune no later than early spring. You don't want to take a chance on cutting off any flower buds! This is an excellent ornamental tree that will fit into any garden. 6'x5' Zones 3-9 JUL-SEPT H. paniculata ‘SMHPLQF’ QUICK FIRE® HYDRANGEA tree form

A RARE find! The Decaf Kentucky Coffeetree is a Ken- tucky Coffeetree that exhibits much greater branch- ing than the species. This native cultivar consistently produces buds and branches from new growth lead- ing to a much more desirable, well branched tree at a young age. New growth is finer textured in branches, twigs and leaflets than the species while emerging leaflets show a caramel coloration into early summer. The Decaf produces only male flowers and has not shown the tendency to fruit. Hardiness zone 3. 50'x40' Zones 3-8 APR

KENTUCKY GYMNOCLADUS

LILAC SYRINGA

G. dioicus KENTUCKY COFFEETREE

S. x 'Penda' BLOOMERANG® LILAC (tree form)

Quick Fire® Hydrangea is a great new selection of hydrangea for the upper Midwest. White, cone-shaped blooms will emerge about a month earlier than most other hydrangea and will literally cover the plant with 8-12" blooms in later May and early June. The real show begins as these blooms change color to a fine, dark pink and serve as a second season of bloom for the rest of the summer. Shrub form is also available. 6-8' Zones 3-8 JUL

A large open tree with character. Large, compound leaves are bluish-green in summer and yellow in fall. Coarse and picturesque in the winter. Prefers deep moist soil. Adaptable to a wide range of soil conditions drought and city conditions. Seed pods on female trees. Watch for our male selection! 50-60'x40' Zones 4-8

Bloomerang® Lilac flowers are lavender and fragrant, but the surprise comes from recurrent bloom until frost. A compact, mounded plant getting 4-5' tall and can spread to about 6' or so. You can keep this plant smaller by renewal pruning. Full sun and well drained soils is best for all lilacs. Grows on a 42" standard. 4-5'x6' Zones 3-7 MAY
