Measuring Closet Bypass Doors When installing a complete set of doors measure both the width and height across the opening to determine the size doors you will need. Use the smaller of each of your vertical and horizontal measurements. For example, if the left vertical measurement is 80-3/4” the right vertical measurement is 80-1/2”, use 80-1/2” for the vertical measurement. If you are replacing a door(s) only, measure the exact width and height of the door(s). Circle the Complete Set or Single Door on the form as needed.
