Service as your customer number, order number, product(s) to return, a reason for your return, contact information, and method of return will be required. We offer two ways to make exchanges and returns: online or by phone. Regardless of how you’ve placed your order, you can go to your online ordering system to process your return. If you do not have online access, you can make a return by calling Customer Service: StaplesAdvantage.com users: 877-826-7755 We’ll arrange to pick up the item for exchange or credit to your account. IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT ALL RETURNS: Nondefective dated goods such as forms, batteries, film, and toner and ink cartridges are subject to approval and require a Return Authorization for credit. Calendars cannot be returned after January 31 of the year to which they correspond. For health and safety reasons, food, beverages, first aid, and medical products cannot be returned. For similar reasons, janitorial and sanitation products (such as cleaning chemicals) can only be returned in unopened and unaltered original case quantities and packaging. Products purchased in bulk, including those intended to be used during a World Health Organization (WHO) epidemic or pandemic alert, are subject to review prior to return. Additional Furniture Terms Enhanced Furniture Services (Installation Services): Enhanced furniture services are available at an additional charge. Such enhanced furniture services include, but are not limited to, installation, assembly, moving existing furniture, uncrating, removal of packaging, and inspection for damage. Please note that enhanced furniture services will render the assembled furniture ineligible for return. At the time services are rendered, the customer’s site must be free of obstruction and fully prepared to accept the product. Any unanticipated conditions encountered at the time of installation may be accommodated for an additional charge (such as delays in accessing site, storage charges, relocating existing furniture, and/or stair carry). For additional information, please contact your account manager. Pricing: Additional charges may apply for freight, taxes, storage, insurance, or enhanced furniture services. Such enhanced furniture services shall only be provided at customer’s request, and any applicable additional charges may be invoiced separately. Installation Delays: In the event that construction delays or other causes not within customer’s or Staples’ control force postponement of the installation as scheduled, Staples or the customer shall store the products until installation can be resumed, and the products shall be considered accepted by the customer for purposes of invoicing and payment. The customer shall pay all transfer and storage charges incurred. Delivery Signature: The signature of customer or customer’s agent obtained at the time of delivery indicates that all furniture has been received and/ or installed in good condition, free of damages. All exceptions must be noted upon delivery on the delivery paperwork or associated punch list. Additional charges may apply for desktop delivery, special delivery, non-standard delivery, rush delivery, special or custom order products or as noted on Supplier’s eCommerce platform.
Shipping: Shipment and delivery will be made by the designated carrier and in the manner deemed best by Staples. Staples shall not be responsible for delays beyond its control. **Furniture Returns Policy: Return requests will be accepted within 14 days of delivery under the following conditions: a) Products are in new condition. b) Products are unassembled and in original packaging. Special order, customized, manufacturer direct shipped, or assembled items are not returnable, unless such products arrive damaged or defective. Terms and Conditions General Terms Limited Warranty: Staples will pass through all manufacturers’ warranties to the customer. Staples will reasonably assist in coordinating the repair or replacement of the product by the manufacturer. Limitation of Liability: Neither party shall be liable for any consequential, incidental, indirect, special, or exemplary damages arising out of or in connection with the sale, delivery, use, or performance of a product. In no event shall Staples be liable (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) for damages arising out of or relating to (i) a breach of any warranty or (ii) the sale, delivery, installation, use, or performance of a product, that exceed the purchase price of that product. Hazardous and Oversized Materials: Additional charges may be incurred for the shipping and handling of products classified as hazardous or oversized materials. Partial cartons or opened containers of hazardous materials cannot be returned. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the products are used and disposed of in accordance with all applicable federal, state, county, and local laws and regulations, including, but not limited to, environmental rules and regulations. Additional Services Additional services provided by Staples may be subject to specific terms and conditions. Contact your Account Manager for more information. For our valued customers outside the contiguous United States (including Alaska): Items shipped from the contiguous U.S. are available on a special order basis and are nonreturnable. Please note that additional restrictions may apply to furniture orders. Please visit your online ordering system or contact Customer Service for information on nonstocked products. Alaska Customers: Although we have a full range of office supply products and furniture readily available in our Anchorage fulfillment center, there are some items which are only available from the contiguous United States. The terms of any written contract with Staples shall control over any contrary terms contained herein. Staples is not responsible for printing or typographical errors.
