When solid carbide fits your application, Whitney Tool Company can provide tools manufactured to the same exacting standards that make our HSS and carbide tipped tools the industry standard. In certain applications, solid carbide provides distinct advantages over HSS and carbide tipped tools. For example, solid carbide offers exceptional rigidity and tool life, often resulting in higher production rates and/or superior performance when cutting difficult materials. And, in smaller sizes (less than 3/4” dia.), solid carbide is often more economical than carbide tipped. Carbide cutting edges provide many advantages.
