This is a great angle to take a sports photo from, and the photographer probably had to plan ahead to capture this. The lines in the court, the banners, and the rafters on the ceiling all create leading lines that draw your eye to the basketball and two front players. Even though they’re in the heat of action, the photo is crisp, in focus, and captures the expressions on the players’ faces. Even though they were clearly in motion when the picture was snapped, everything is frozen in time. The scoreboard displaying a tied game adds a nice detail, and the photo doesn’t feel overly yellow even though it’s in a gym.
