This photo frames the main subject well as she flies through the air. The pole, crossbar and fence frame the vaulter and create leading lines. The photographer did a good job of filling the frame of the photo. There’s good contrast; we like the way the blue and yellow of her uniform and the bright neon of her shoes stand out against the sky. This is a good action shot – you can see that the vaulter’s hair is still catching up to her body. The intensity in her face and her tensed muscles show you how focused she is.
