MOTT CHILDREN’S HEALTH CENTER, UNIVERSITY PEDIATRICIANS ANNOUNCE COLLABORATION FOR PEDIATRIC LIPID CLINIC IN FLINT

FLINT –Mott Children’sHealth Center andUniversityPediatricians, the pediatric specialists affiliated withDMCChildren’sHospital of Michigan, are pleased to announce an expansionof their collaboration with the launchof a Pediatric Lipid Clinicwithin theMott Children’s HealthCenter inFlint.The new Pediatric LipidClinic joins the existingPediatricCardiologyClinic atMott and serves as a preventive care programfor childrenwith lipiddisorders, featuring specialized pediatric testing, innovative lipid management therapies, anddietary counseling. Patients are seenby a pe diatric lipid specialist and a dietitian. Behavioralmodification therapy will be provided as an adjunct to pharmaceutical therapy for lipid disorders.The preventive program will also care for childrenwithhigh bloodpressure andmetabolic syn drome and relateddisorders. Mott Children’sHealthCenter providesmedical, dental, audiology, rehabilitation andbehavioral health services to eligible children inGen eseeCounty.
