100 Years of Boswell

Jim with Covina High School FFA students and teachers in 2022

Working independently from the company, the foundation is all about supporting education, medical advancements, and community projects in the areas where the Boswell company operates. Thanks to scholarships, grants, and partnerships, it has donated over $100 million to important causes, making a real difference in people’s lives.

Education is a key focus, with support for endowed professorships at universities like Cal Poly, Cal Tech, Fresno State, and Stanford, as well as scholarships for Corcoran High School graduates.

Beyond education, the foundation is a proud supporter of various hospitals and health-care research institutions including Valley Children’s Hospital, Los Angeles Children’s Hospital, Huntington Hospital, and Huntington Medical Research Institute.

Locally, it partners with the Corcoran Community Foundation to enhance parks, recreational spaces, and youth programs.

The James G. Boswell Foundation believes that giving back goes beyond donations—it is about providing independent grants to support the communities where the company operates. With a strong history of meaningful contributions, the foundation remains committed to making a lasting impact for years to come.
